Fall Winter 2023: a fantasized Japan

Take advantage of a trip to compare your vision of a country, a culture, with reality.

One reality among many others, this one biased by the childlike perspective with which Japan saw us grow up. By the time spent there, limiting our understanding of their customs and traditions.

But isn't that what makes an idolized country so charming, that it keeps its share of mystery and only reveals itself occasionally, so that the fantasy remains intact?

This is what I wanted to express through this shooting, to confront this fantasized vision of a stereotypical Japan with a biased and imperfect reality on the ground.
